I was terrified when I signed up — I'd never run more than 5 miles. But the team support was incredible. Tom and the captains had a training plan for me, teammates texted encouragement every week, and crossing that finish line in Central Park was the most emotional moment of my life. The fact that I raised $4,200 for cancer research made it even more meaningful.
